I like this! I had to repost this from nudeforjoy after I read his description of the picture’s origin: It was made by Judy Dater, a famous photographer, towards the beginning of her career, of Imogene Cunningham an early feminist and photographer who scandalized the art world around the turn of the century (19-20) when women just DIDN’T photograph nude men. The model was Twinka Theibald, and depending on who you ask, the photo was made in 1964 in Big Sur at a conference on Edward Weston photos, or in 1974 in Yosemite, at a conference on Ansel Adams. As I bought a greeting card with the image in about 1977, my money is on the 1974 date, particularly as supposedly Ms Cunningham was 91 at the time, which age she would have achieved in 1974.
