It is with an incredible sense of disbelief and sorrow that we inform you that AANR Western Canada Member Trustee and AANR Finance Chair Bob Campbell has passed away. Bob was in a car accident while coming home from a fundraiser where he served on the board for Big Hill Haven’s Women’s Shelter in Cochrane, Alberta.
He was also a volunteer parent for his dog Remmy who is part of the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society program. Together they were involved in the Calgary Board of Education reading initiative at Eric Harvie School where they would read with students.
Bob was a generous man. He was a wise man. He was a supportive man. He was a trusted respected advisor to so many people. Bob had a passion for volunteering and being a part of many organizations, from Alcoholics Anonymous, to the Cochrane Curling Club, Cochrane Ringette, Pacific Assistance Dogs Society and the American Association for Nude Recreation. Bob was a life member of AANR. He has been the AANR-Western Canada Trustee for the past four years and AANR Finance Committee Chair for six years. Prior to becoming a Trustee he served for seven years with AANR-Western Canada as Treasurer and then President.
In life he loved to help others so in death the family would like to help him make a difference one last time. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made through this GoFundMe page https://www.gofundme.com/bob-campbell and all monies will go to help the fundraising efforts of the Cochrane Women’s Shelter, Big Hill Haven, in Bob’s name.
Please keep your thoughts and prayers with Bob’s family and with his many friends who will miss him.
